Do You See What I See?

What Is Your Mindset?

I am coming to realize God, and his perspective is different than ours. I started to ask him to give me a healing vision of his provision when life seems impossible. To honestly believe he is a way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness. I wanted him to show me how to live above the pressure of this world. It was made noticeably clear that it is through Jesus! How did he do it? I heard him whisper, child, what seems impossible to man is possible with God, so seek me. You dig in my Word on those days when everything looks dark, and when I answer at the right time, you will see my promises fulfilled and my hope before you. Many people before us have sat in a waiting room of life waiting on God’s perfect timing.

Waiting and hope are painful sometimes, but God tells us to wait and hope, and we do this by faith. God has never broken a promise or a provision and has never lost control of his perfect will and plan. See in Hebrews 13:8 it says. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” He was there at the creation, and he is working and speaking today. Now in Galatians 5:5, it says, “by faith we eagerly wait through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.” I do not know about you, but I need hope, and I want to encourage and breathe hope into others.

There are many stories of faith and hope in the Old and New Testament. Stories like Job during his storm of chaos. Abraham, when he traveled to sacrifice Isaac, Moses when he was in the desert alone living in fear and shame, and of course, there’s our beautiful perfect example of the one who gives us the vision of his Spirit and his power, Jesus! See, we now live in the new covenant of Jesus’ completed fulfillment of the law. God showed us even in the natural Jesus struggled in the waiting room of life as the man in the garden of Gethsemane. There he had to hold on to hope with the full vision of what is to come. Next, Jesus knew heaven was on the other side and knew healing and freedom was there also, but saw the cost and still chose death so you and I could have everlasting life and fellowship with the Father in Spirit and truth. That by his power, we too during dark days are overflowing in love, grace, and hope.

God teaches us through his Word that what seems impossible in man’s eyes is possible with God. It’s when he gives us a new perspective and the vision of what is to come. God has fully equipped us for everything we will ever need in this faith walk journey called life and that the light on our path is to help guide us and found through his Word. Like when Jesus was empowered to teach, to make disciples, to heal the sick, cast out devils, and set the captives free. People traveled near and far just to get to this man named Jesus. Why because he brought healing, hope, and miracles, and when he spoke, he acted in love and spoke truth with grace. He was able to do all this because he walked in will with the Father and had heavenly perspective and guess what we can walk in the will of our Father too, even in a seemly dark world. It may not always feel good or look the way we thought, but if we trust him in faith and have hope, it will be better than we could have ever dreamed or imagined for his ways his plans and his purposes are always best. God will provide what we need right when we need it most. For he is a timely God of order and understanding.

The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual insight and provides us with an understanding of the Word of God. He’s the one that opens our spiritual eyes to what the Word of God is saying, and then it’s by his power that we’re able to live it out like Christ and have him direct our steps. Now, if you’re struggling for the world to see Jesus working in your life, you may need to prayerfully consider asking him to anoint you so that you start to have this spiritual, heavenly perspective. We always have to remember Jesus promised that he would send someone to help believers glorify the son. The Holy Spirit’s job is to magnify Jesus in our lives and to help us be Christ ambassadors. Thank God he is our helper, our comforter, our friend. The Holy Spirit will ignite the scriptures in our hearts to be different to live in this world with a mission and a purpose to bear much fruit. What a fantastic gift and promise full of hope. That to face this world and be different, I don’t do this on my power! So how do we do live like this? 1 John 2:27 says “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teaches you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”

The Holy Spirit will help me to not be of the world but like Christ. Many miss the mark here. Faith comes from hearing the Word of God, and faith is the necessary ingredient for tangible change and growth in a believer’s life. The Spirit is unable to work in a vacuum or void space. We must read scripture to ignite the Spirit so he will fill us with the power to overcome the world and ignite the fire for everyone to see. So seek to align yourself with the Spirit and to follow his lead.

Back in the ancient days, when a student would follow a Teacher or a Rabbi, they would do everything he did, and they would take in every Word and meditate on it. They would ask questions to get an understanding of the talk given and then mimic the lessons learned. They did and acted like the teacher they followed. They would follow so carefully behind their teacher that they would be covered in the dust from him walking. My question to the church today and one that I ask myself is, have I spent so much time in fellowship with the Word that the world around me knows that I’ve spent time following my teacher? Who is my example, who is my teacher, well Jesus himself, and he sent me his Spirit so that I’m able to do his will in the world until he takes me to home.

What if we started to look at our lives through our Father’s eyes, our story being a part of his story. I think that would mean that we would have to stop and see that every soul matters and what makes a person who they are. Each person that we cross paths with has a story, and God laid down his life for each one. The child of God and the sinner he wishes would come home. I know that God has transplanted me twice in my life now, and he took a girl from Maine and put her in the soil in Pennsylvania so she could start to sprout me, and then he transplanted me again to North Carolina so I could bloom and flourish to bear much fruit. All this for his glory through the stunning gardens of opportunities learning to embrace God’s story as mine. Through this growing process, I have found that the best way to live is a lifelike Christ to be a Godly person. Joshua 24:14- 1514“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Psalms 101: 2-3 – 2“I will be careful to lead a blameless life—when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart. 3I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.”

So what is the reward if I endure these hard circumstances with a heavenly perspective in the divine vision? I will get to reign with Him in holy places both here on earth and eternally in heaven. I heed warnings like if I would deny him so with my everyday talk, life, actions, it says that he will reject me also, and that is something that breaks my heart after everything Jesus has done for me. I want to be known as different. I take hope in if I lose my faith in him guess what he’s still going to remain faithful because he can’t deny himself because my God is faithful! Therefore, I have to fight the good fight!

I have asked God for his vision for his perspective for his wisdom, his understanding, and his leading. Yes, life can be difficult, but to be faithful, we must persevere till the end. It is all about Jesus; it’s always been about Jesus. Jesus is still the subject; Jesus is the foundation; he is the example he is the final action and the Last Word. By his life, he was a testimony of what it means to see the way the Father sees. I am so glad there is a higher power to direct our ways, and he’s willing to. However, the reality is as we pray for his direction, how many of us actually sit still quietly to listen to the leading and for his insight, or do we just see it through the lens of our hurt, arrogance, pride, and worldly perspective.

I strive to be different. I strive to have my example be Jesus. I pray prayers like give me your eyes Lord, give me your ears, give me your heart, give me your wisdom, give me your understanding, help me to see the world the way Jesus did. I pray we all strive to be the one that walks on this earth, knowing that what we see here in the visible is nothing that compares to what is in the unseen. Heaven is directly on the other side of this world. So when you start to live with a heavenly vision of his provision here on earth, what seems impossible becomes possible because God sees Jesus as the perfect example. Jesus saw the world through his Father’s eyes by the power of the Holy Spirit and guess what we can too. He gave us his Spirit so we can have the mindset of Christ.

Have you ever asked the Holy Spirit to help you see, to live like Jesus, serve like Jesus, versus serving yourself? When we do this, it changes everything. Faith grows when we let go and let God concentrate on his perfect will through us. The more that we walk with him and follow Jesus, the more peace and happiness and fulfillment we will have in our lives. I am so thankful I am a work in progress. Progress means I am changing and walking in faith, and when we do that, we have nothing to fear from our stories, our lives of growth, the experiences that are full of seasons, of pruning. Flourishing lives of change will be lives that should bear much fruit. Why? Well, because we are sustained and powered by his power and living water and sealed by his name. Children of God’s new creations in Christ, and when we walk with him daily, the reality is we know how the story ends. So flourish and bring life to a lost and dying world that has no heavenly perspective, and by his grace, bear much fruit until we see Jesus face to face in our forever home.

Father, thank you for your blessings in my life. Thank you for choosing me, and thank you for anointing me. You are changing my life, my mind, and my calling. Please give me a fresh awakening a fresh anointing, giving me a heavenly sight and heavenly wisdom for my soul. Show me and teach me your ways and let your grace shine upon me and on the path that I travel. Give me a full understanding of things that my natural mind just cannot comprehend or understand. Father enlightened and bless me that my life may be a pleasing aroma to you and a pleasant sight and a blessing to others as I serve them on this journey of my life to be more like your son Jesus until I reach my heavenly home. I pray all of this in Jesus mighty name Amen.
