Do Your Job!

The Need for Self-Discipline

Call to Run My Race!

In (Corinthians: 9:22-27) it reads 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I will not be disqualified from the prize.

When I read this, I see God has a purpose to live. It’s a relationship with him and to live in this world, but not be of the world. I have come to realize this means everything you do work unto the Lord. My prize on Earth is more of him. My goal is to hosting him well, so more believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. As I run, this race set out for me; it is one he has mapped out and gives me light to the next best step. I find these life-giving steps in his word. The Bible says in (Psalm 119:105), “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”

By staying on this course, I have peace, and I have protection. When you step out of God’s will, we have this choice to serve God, trust God, or serve self and walk into darkness and sin. When making that choice, you walk into being unprotected and out of God’s will. His love for you never changes just how much he can bless you and how much you get to live in the protection of his overflow. I chose to be his ambassador in all I do his light bearer. For he is light in him is no darkness. In (1 John 1:7) says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purity’s us from all sin. “See, he sent me a helper, the Spirit of the highest God, to do my job of living my life for him. I also have found in my walk with him that he can’t use something that has lost its flavor.

(Matthew 5:13-20)

Salt and Light:

13 “You are the salt of the Earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

I want to live al life full of his power, his love, and his strength so more people can find him by seeing him live through me. And out of the obedience of trusting, he is God he knows best. I get to live in the overflow of his blessings. The Bible says I am his child, and he is my Father. In (Mathew 7:11), “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. ”

So today, will you choose life or death. Will you decide to run to win. I run to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant. “(Mathew 25: starting at verse 14-30) is a parable that was spoken by Jesus himself. It’s all about stewarding well with God gives you. Do not live in fear of failing, but be willing to invest everything you have your time talent touch treasure for the Kingdom of God and his glory. So no matter what you do in this life, do it to the best of your ability, dedicate the work of your hands unto the Lord and watch and see how he blesses it.

So inaction, it looks like this. GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD and let God move in the inner you and on the altar of your heart by walking the walk don’t just talk the talk first be light-bearers we are created for a purpose sometimes that means being willing to step out of the boat like Peter into the storm knowing that it’s God calling you to walk on water with him.

This incredible act of Faith is found in (Matthew 14:22-36)

Jesus Walks on the Water:

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25 Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” 28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on water, and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” 34 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him 36 and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who felt it were healed.

In this life we have responsibilities, these responsibilities require us to make a living and to support our families but did you also know that every one of us was created for a purpose the purpose is to have fellowship with God. We start to walk in real truth and freedom when we embrace the fact that God created us with a purpose that we are uniquely designed to be able to bring glory to his name by bringing others into the family. It’s not about material possessions; it’s not about your position; it’s about being willing to be used by God to be the best version of yourself created in Christ’s image.

So GO and be full of Faith to do the job that God has assigned you to.
