Faith Over Fear – It’s Your Choice!

Faith Over Fear – It’s Your Choice!

Did you know that you can decide to have faith over fear? Change over stuck? Life over death? Freedom over slavery to sin? All of this can happen suddenly! All you have to do is answer the call and accept the free gift God has given us. The choice to believe the good news you have heard about Jesus and what he can do for those who have faith in Him. If you have not heard the good news, let me quickly share it with you today.

God loves you, and he has a wonderful plan for your life. I have a real quick but important question to ask you. If you were to die this very second, do you know for sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you would go to Heaven? Let me quickly share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads, “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Bible also reads, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” And you’re a “whosoever,” right? Of course, you are; all of us are.

Did you know there is hope for you and your situation? You have a stirring inside of you that confirms that hope has a name, and His name is Jesus. It is in that moment when you come to the end of one’s yourself. You get to the point that you know in yourself you can’t do this alone, and you don’t have to ever again. You come to this deep inner realization that there is truly no other option. You become desperate. Depressperation is described as a state of despair that typically ends in a rash or extreme behavior. Unfortunately, that’s most of our world today—so many people live without hope. So many people are full of fear instead of faith. Despair is defined as being at a complete loss or absence of Hope, and the Bible says a heart without hope is sick. Jesus came to heal the sick, and Jesus’ love came to heal whosoever would believe in him.

Today Jesus offers the same thing he offered over 2000 years ago. He offered it to the original 12 disciples and the masses of people that he had compassion for. Out of his abundance to the Father and His love for us, he offered them a solution to their sickness, disease, depression, afflictions, demon possessions and gave us an alternative to death. He offered and still does, life and life abundantly. Jesus came and radically changed absolutely everything, and if you are willing to accept Him into your heart and your life, he will do it again personally for you. That’s right; he will radically change everything. When Jesus walked on this earth in His human form, he said will you follow me? That invitation is still available today. Jesus says, learn from me. See the miracles, the signs, and the wonders Jesus spread throughout the world. Yet, many people still have not received it. He is looking for that heart of good soil to plant the word so people can learn to be holy as He is holy. To believe he is who he says he is and to hide His Word in their heart so they would not sin against the God who loves them.

His desire is a personal relationship with his creation and that we, too, would produce much fruit. By sharing the good news of who he is to everyone. This only happens, though, when a person comes to a point where they get to the end of themself. They are desperate, realizing that the only real treasure, the only thing that could ever truly fill them, is having a personal relationship with the God of the universe. Emmanuel God With Us. The Bible says the word became flesh and dwelt among us. He was the living example of what it means to be fully committed to God the father. To do the Father’s will by surrendering yourself to be a good and faithful servant. To let the spirit of the Living God lead you from death to life. Guess what, dear reader? The world is still a sinful and broken place, and we need the power of what Jesus completed on cavalry for us.

The scriptures of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and the book of Acts are full of accounts of desperate people. People who were willing to risk absolutely everything and to connect with Jesus. Are you? They came to a point where they decided that the negatives or the risk of pursuing healing and the truth about what they had heard about Jesus were worth it. The potential rewards and possible gains drove them to the point of no turning back. They had to connect with Jesus. They would follow Jesus, approaching him in faith, worshipping him, and believing that he was the solution. They let Faith rise above the fear. The question remains will you believe that Jesus is who he says that he is. That He accomplished what he set out to accomplish while being here on Earth, and that he’s coming back for those who have believed in faith. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

It sure grieves my heart to know that many people today would prefer the comfort of staying in their sickness or staying captive by fear. They choose to stay in their pain. They believe the lie that this is just the way life is and always will be for some reason. It is much more comfortable for them than stepping out in faith and taking a risk and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. The fear stops them maybe is even stopping you from fully surrendering to Him in every area of your life and letting the author and the Perfecter of their faith heal them from the inside out. It’s like they are blind or cripple and can’t see the truth that lies right in front of them. They let fear stop them from laying their life down as a living sacrifice to him and opening up their heart to truly say I surrender all and all to Him I owe. To be willing to say that where He goes, you will go. To have faith to say without fear that where you stay, Lord, I will stay. To be willing if he decides to move you, then you move. No matter what the cost is because you realize he makes it worth it all. Can you and I decide to answer those important words that he asks every human being ever created? Jesus asks, will you follow me? Will you trust me?

Oh, my prayer today, dear reader, is that you and I are fully committed, fully persuaded that he can do everything and anything. I claim in the name of Jesus you’ve come to a point in your life where you’re saying you know what I’m all in! If not, what is stopping you? I choose to keep pushing forward, and you keep seeking first the kingdom of God. I believe by doing this that all his righteousness will be added unto me. I believe that knowing the Lord that really does reward those who diligently seek Him. My prayer is each day, our faith will grow more, and start to believe in faith that if you ask, we shall receive and that we have not because we ask not. Just take it all to Him in prayer.

Did you know that everything Jesus did was so that we could have a personal relationship with the three in one God? That’s God the Father, who sent us God the Son. Who even now sent us His Holy Spirt and is advocating for us at the right hand of the Father? You can see that. In Revelation 21:5, He, who was seated on the throne, said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 1st John 2:1-2 1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin, but if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

I’m so thankful that I’ve made the decision personally to follow a God who is capable of making all things new. Redemption and Holiness has a name, and his name is Jesus, and by faith, we can believe in him. He is the Healer, He is the source of power, and the power is his love, for God is love. The goodness of God makes a way where there seems to be no way. All you have to do is believe in faith. Though God never changes, see Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. He calls us to speak with him, and by the power of his love for us and the compassion of our heart, our faith moves the maker of heaven and earth. I don’t know what mountain you might be facing today, but I know my Savior calms raging seas, raises people from the dead, has the power to forgive sins, and has saved a wretch like me. The good news is he wants to work on your behalf as well, for you, not against you.

So who do I share about this day? His name is Jesus, and he can make a way in your wilderness. He offers you a new day and a fresh start no matter how dry your land might seem right now or even your heart. This God that I serve has the power to split the sea, move those mountains that seem unmovable, and help us cross any barrier that lies before us. For he is the one that prepares the way. So put your trust in Him. He gives us the power to conquer any giant so that He can bring victory to our lives. This God that we serve has the power to shut the mouths of lions. So he can provide safety for you as well, no matter what you’re facing. This God that I speak about, he’s the one that opens prison doors and sets the captives free. He wants nothing more than to do that for you and me. This amazing God that I serve, he’s actually stood inside a flaming furnace! So this means no matter what type of adversity we are facing, realize that you’re not walking alone. I hold tight to the promise that says that he will never leave us or forsake us. Yes, the God that I speak of has the power. He is capable of bringing peace to any storm or to calm the raging sea that might be inside of our soul or even a storm in the world around us. He is a God of miracles, and guess what? He never changes, for he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If you would like to receive the free gift that God has for you today, say this after me with your heart and lips out loud. Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You have risen from the dead and that you’re coming back again for me. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God, and a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m saved; I’m born again, I’m forgiven, and I’m on my way to Heaven because I have Jesus in my heart.

As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I tell you today that all of your sins are forgiven. Remember to run to God and not from God because He loves you and has a great plan for your life. So let perfect love cast out fear. Today is a new day, and he made it, so let’s rejoice, be glad in it, and say here am I Lord use me!
