Power In The Name Of Jesus

Who Do You Trust?

I have come to trust the power of Jesus’s name and who he says that he is. Through my walk and personal relationship with him, I see he is able, he is willing, and my God is trustworthy. One of the fundamental blocks of a solid relationship is trust. The definition of trust by Websters is a firm belief in the liability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. Trust is something that is built over time. It’s earned, and it is a key part of a healthy, flourishing relationship. When you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not only will you have success in your life, but to be able to truly bring the authority from Jesus’s name down to earth. This happens through something called discipleship. This is when we stop walking around as weak believers that are apart of ineffective churches not filled with the Holy Spirit’s Power. This is one of the main reasons we have the decay we have in today’s culture and world. It’s all about our relationship living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to be a Kingdom of God’s representative to a lost and dying world.

God has a pretty amazing track record of keeping his promises, taking care of his people, and working in ways that leave the world dumbfounded. I’ve come to realize that the master has a plan, and he always gets the job done. It will help you develop a foundation of trust and a deeper relationship. Now, hear me out, and no way am I saying we won’t have struggles. God’s words are really clear about what it actually says. In this world, you will have trouble but take heart. I have overcome the problems and temptations of this world. We are all in our weaknesses and will have moments to depend on him for help. Why, because he is God and we are not. We all will face things that will cause us to cry out to God. In those moments, the Bible says all we need to do is cast our cares upon him because he cares for us. Now, as you and I grow in our personal relationship with him, we learn it is way more than just salvation.

Now, what is salvation? Salvation is believing in the Lord Jesus Christ so that you can be saved. Jesus came to take away the sins of the world upon himself so that you may have eternal life. If you believe in Jesus Christ, ask him into your heart and get the gift of Salvation. I wrote this today to go over the truth that God showed me how important it is when God says to abide in him to seek his face and have a personal relationship with him. This is the key that changes everything when we start to believe that God is who he says and that we are his creation created in his image. We can now be Kingdom disciples and do the same things that Jesus did while here on Earth.

Glory is used in the Bible to represent the manifestation of God’s presence. Glory is one of the most common words in the Bible. God’s glory means his importance, reputation, majesty, and honor. I guess it does not surprise me as society moves away from worshipping and glorifying God, it turns towards worshiping and glorifying celebrity fame and self, but that’s not what we’re called to do; we’re actually called to bring Heaven to Earth we are called to worship God to glorify God with our thoughts and actions and words in our deeds. We are called to worship God’s glory and reflect it to a lost and dying world; however, imperfectly, that may come out in our lives, the goal is to seek ye first the kingdom of God. If you really want to reflect the Lord’s Glory, follow the disciples’ example after being filled with the Holy Ghost. Go back to the Old Testament and look at David’s example: he was trying to lead a blameless life. Trying to live a life of worship, trusting in the Lord without wavering, and trying to keep his mind and his heart pure, and most of all, he was guided by God’s love and his truth. The amazing truth that God’s glory also dwells in people that are trusting in Jesus for all.

Being a committed follower of Jesus means embracing not our will but God’s will for our life event and get to a point where we allow what God’s will and what his word says to be more important than what our thoughts are, maybe even what the world has taught us. Many people live in sickness and feel discouraged. Most people don’t see anything different between people of the world and those of us who claim to be Christians as they’re actually not living in the authority of Jesus Christ or under his Lordship. If we want to represent Jesus truly, we need to think like him, talk like him, and act like him. I have been struggling with this because I want to make that an example to my own family first. My outer family, then to those in the area Community or my local body of believers.

In Mark chapter 9, we read how the Lord really tries to show his disciples how important it is to get away and be alone with God the father. He also reveals to them on the Mount of transfiguration the fullness of his glory. He reveals to them that those who have gone before are still very much alive. If in Christ, you have a personal relationship with the God of the universe. I think the part of Mark’s account that rocked me to my core was the same people who saw Jesus come into His glory just a few verses later were not able to heal a boy of an evil spirit because they didn’t have the necessary faith to do so. Jesus tells them straight up everything is possible for him who believes, which can be found in Mark 9 verse 23.

The world tells us we need to see it first and then I’ll believe, but Jesus says believe first, then you will see. A man named St Augustine wrote this: faith is to believe what we do not see; the reward of faith is to see what we believe. If we are to live like Jesus, if you read just this one amazing account, you’ll see very quickly that when Jesus goes ahead and heals this boy, there’s no great ceremony or even this big event. There’s not even the laying of hands; there is no drawn-out battle. Still, the simple power of the command of Jesus sees this battle is already won because of his prayer life because of a personal relationship hosted with the glory of God. He was our example, and I think we all need to get to a point where we pray; Lord, help me to spend time in your presence to believe that I have a greater authority inside of me than what is in the world and help me to radiate your spirit’s power and glory in everything that we do and say. This is what it means to be a Christ ambassador.

All of this is a growing process! We gain not by our power, not by our might but by the Holy Spirit, the ability and the…

  • Authority to teach
  • Authority to heal
  • Authority to evangelize
  • Authority to lead
  • Authority to perform miracle signs and wonders.

See, everything is possible for those who believe! So No matter where you are in your journey, keep pressing into him. The King of Kings is on your side, and his mighty name brings power. JESUS! May today be the day you trust in Him. May you believe in the greater power that lives inside of you, and may you walk into the new season of Christ’s authority in your life.

As I meditated on writing this blog, God had shared this word with my spirit. So I claim in faith this word over my life and ask God to help you in your unbelief. Do not be afraid, and you will see how the Lord will deliver you today. The Lord will fight for you. The people of the world will know I am God by how I move and pour out on my church in these latter days. I only ask that you abide in me. I am still God, I am still a Waymaker, and you will be brought through if you partner with me. Your part is to read my word, believe my word, speak my word, and go out and tell others about me.

Blessing to you, and let us be willing to tell the world that we got a Savior!
